The aim of the new "Food Waste Management" Initiative (for Old Earth) is to offer 'RETIRED & EXPIRED' VICTUALS at NO-COST for a certain period of time, before disposal. This process includes the addition of 'R&E' bins (for retired and expired food) to Food Distribution Outlets throughout the World.

NOTE: Expeditious disposal of individually wrapped VICTUALS (such as sweets, and candies) towards landfills, defiles and pollutes the lands and environment. To be specific, individually wrapped VICTUALS are rarely extracted from wrappings (before dumping), and subsequently decay and decompose at slower rates than bulk wrapped VICTUALS. Since, individually wrapped VICTUALS (such as sweets, and candies) are generally ONLY DESIGNED FOR BIPED SENTIENT CONSUMPTION, waste scavenger animal break down (and consumption) of the material is hindered, and consequently, the ecosystem is defiled with excess food particles.
