At the start of the interaction, the TRM Director mentioned that someone, earlier that afternoon, was asked to leave the Residence Inn Property, and asked me if I was the one who was asked to leave that Hotel. I replied, "Yes. Earlier today, I visited the Residence Inn." Also, both extremely promoted the Rescue Mission. Even though, I reiterated that many Shelters do not allow pitched tents, anywhere, on their properties...for over 20 minutes, they tried to persuade me to just visit the Shelter, sleep in a bedroom, and eat food in the building (???among the others???). I, also, explained that Homeless People, who use "Brick and Mortar" Shelters, stereotypically choose to regionally "SHELTER TOGETHER" as a "WAY OF LIFE." Whereas, I am a cross-country Traveler (BACKPACKER), who seeks to live overseas, in the "Holy Land"-Israel.

*Behind Party America [Seasonal/Specialty Party Store]: 1 Dumpster Diver (w/ a companion) offered applesauce...while I leisurely rested inside my pitched tent behind the Party Store. Initially, the Dumpster Diver walked towards my tent, and said, "No! No! No! You're a Christian...right? Well, you should bless America, NOT CURSE IT! It's in the 'Word of God,' to bless the rulers...and nation, NOT CURSE IT!" I responded, by explaining that my statement is a written expression of my opposition to the U.S.A.'s War Endeavors--specifically, the 'ludicrous' "War on Terrorism." Then, I said, "I do not support the notion of hopping 'in-and-out' of desert holes in search of so-called enemies. So, I used to Anti-War protest, during 'the years of' the Bush Administration. And, it is, also, my understanding, from what I've studied in the Holy Bible, that it is not good 'for everyone' to curse the rulers 'of the world,' since they are in a position to give account of the people on their lands...it is, typically, not advantageous 'for one' to do so [, as understood from the Holy Bible passage Hebrews 13:17]. Yet, 'I can still' curse the rulers of the world, specifically the American Executive Office. I am an Expatriate, who renounced U.S. citizenship in Canada, last year. Also, America is not perfect[--i.e., not holy]--it is a secular (Worldly) nation... Yet, in spite of my opposition to the U.S.' efforts in the 'War on Terrorism,' I DO NOT SUPPORT Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda." While looking in my direction, the Dumpster Diver mentioned to their companion that they thought I was against peace in Israel, too. So, I responded, "No! I'm not against Israel. I'm actually in support of Israel, as a ...Christian, and I desire to travel to the Holy Land."

*Perkins Restaurant & Bakery: 1 Worker offered 'food & beverage' (i.e., $$$a muffin$$$, and cup of coffee)...after I asked if that location offers FREE muffins. [NOTE: Last year, I was offered FREE muffins at the Council Bluffs, IA location.]

*Murphy Express [Gas Station]: 1 Worker offered limited "Time & Space" (temporary shelter) inside the building

*Comfort Suites [Hotel]: 1 Hotel Staff Member offered food (i.e., a "grab it & go!" breakfast bag)

*Cold Stone Creamery [Ice Cream Shop]: 1 Worker offered "Time & Space" inside the building (before the business closed early, due to severe weather conditions)

*Quality Inn: 1 Hotel Guest (who planned to become an Ordained Minister) offered monies, a Hotel room stay (i.e., a shared Hotel room stay, in which I would have got the bed, while they would have slept on the floor), and encouragement, also asked about my travel story...I was approached, while I looked outside to monitor the progress of a severe snowstorm, from the Hotel Breakfast Room. The Hotel Guest asked me about my recent travel activities, Religious status, and background. They explained that they're a member of a small start-up Non-denominational Church in Texas. Also, they encouraged me to consider joining such a congregation (where the impact is greater) to, especially, as quoted, "help keep kids from eating out of trash cans" (by reducing hunger in the immediate surrounding communities).

*Barnes & Noble: 1 Seventh-day Adventist offered monies, Christian Bible study magazines/CDs, and encouragement (w/ prayer), also asked about my Religious/Spiritual beliefs...while I used the Ladies restroom. The Seventh-day Adventist was going to offer me a FREE Bible. Yet, I pulled out a small pocket Bible, and mentioned that I have over 4 Bibles in my possession. Then, they noticed the Gideons Bible in my hand, and expressed disdain for the group. They said, "You know, the Gideons' are now Antichrist, [their acceptance of] the New King James Version is 666. I only accept the original KJV. The NKJV is Antichrist and Satanic, because key areas [of translation] are now missing." I responded by mentioning that I prefer the KJV, too. Next, they scorned the Catholic Church for its violation of the "2nd commandment of the Ten Commandments" (i.e., the part about "not making" graven images of anything in Heaven above, in the Earth beneath, or in the water under the Earth), and pulled out a magazine that outlined the differences between an older version of "The Holy Bible" and "The Catholic Catechism" translations of the "Ten Commandments." So, I agreed that the Catholics INDUBITABLY (i.e., beyond the shadow of a doubt) VIOLATE the "2nd commandment of the Ten Commandments," with crucifixion images of Christ on 'necklaces and statues,' and idolized shrines of 'Angels and Saints' (e.g., the Shrine of the Black Madonna). Furthermore, the Seventh-day Adventist spoke out against the Papacy (the Office of Pope), and their recent support for sodomy. Lastly, they encouraged me to observe the Sabbath Day only on Saturday, and stay away from so-called Sunday Church services, which according to them is the practice of "Sun Worship."

The Worker mentioned that they brought me food, because they thought I was holding a sign for food and money. *Outside of Chevron [Gas Station]/Subway: 2 Jehovah's Witnesses (???Missionaries for Jehovah??? w/ a Child) offered monies, a Religious flyer (for an upcoming event/assembly), ride (e.g., to an upcoming event/assembly, and to a local Shelter), and Shelter suggestions, also asked about my travel situation. The 1st ???Missionary for Jehovah??? handed me an event flyer, and offered a ride to the next event. They asked about my situation, as if concerned for my well-being, and offered to give me a ride to a local Shelter. While the 2nd ???Missionary for Jehovah??? (w/ a Child [Daughter]), asked about my travel plans, after noticing my hiking backpack and tote box. Also, they suggested that I visit a certain Homeless Shelter. Yet, I explained that I avoid such places (Homeless Shelters), because they, typically, do not allow pitched tents, and include a congregation of Swindlers and Ex-Cons. In consideration of those comments, they explained that the bulk of the Homeless-Migrant Worker Force that hang out on the corner of "300 W & 2100 S," are Day Laborers, who are unjustly shuffled around by FBI Agents and Law Enforcement towards FEMA Camps. Furthermore, they read off some Old Testament scriptures about Jehovah, and offered to provide money (if needed).

[NOTE: I stepped my "Christian Honesty Meter" up a few notches, by revealing to the Police Officer that one of the Property doors looked cracked open, and that I noticed birds in the building, after peeking through the windows.]
