***LATEST NEWS: Keira Renae Johnson's PROTEST/DEMONSTRATION NOTEPAD IS A NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT***

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office DENIED ME ENTRY and CANCELLED MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, because 1 USCIS Security Officer feared that my notepad statement was a dangerous security threat.

-------

ARRIVAL:

I arrived early for a scheduled appointment at the USCIS Office building. Surprisingly, I was over 2 hours early, so I looked for a nice quiet space to hang out. Eventually, I found a large empty Office space, on the same floor as the USCIS Office. After 20 minutes, a USCIS Security Officer approached me during a security round, and stated that the empty Office space was an unauthorized area. Next, the Officer asked if I was there for an appointment. I explained that I was early for an INFOPASS scheduled appointment. So, the Officer offered to bump my appointment time up, and get me into the Office immediately.

SECURITY CHECKPOINT:

The 1st Officer encountered at the Security Checkpoint quickly noticed the protest/demonstration notepad on my backpack, and showed it to a 2nd Officer on duty at the Checkpoint. After examining the statement, the 1st Officer said, "It says here that you curse the US and agree to decapitate [others]. This is the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services office, so that can be a problem." Therefore, the 1st Officer mentioned that he thought the statement was a dangerous security threat. I responded, "That's my protest statement. I usually keep it strapped to my backpack... I'm a political protester. I 'Anti-War' protest, and have done so for many years... I don't support the 'War on Terrorism,' which is supposedly still an active US Military campaign..." Next, the 2nd Officer seemed to take a quick snapshot of the notepad, and noticeably read aloud the specific areas of my protest statement that caused concern. Specifically, the 2nd Officer said, "You commit treason...you cursed the US...you agree with opposing forces to use decapitation and incineration to guarantee physical body death. See, those are [controversial] statements that cause concern and pose a threat here at the USCIS office. So, you can't enter the office today with that notepad." Then, another Officer, who I encountered earlier in another area of the building, escorted me out of the Office.

ELEVATOR-to-LOBBY:

The Officer, who escorted me out of the Office, suggested that I revisit the Office on another day, and NEXT TIME MAKE SURE TO HIDE THE PROTEST STATEMENT in my backpack. Furthermore, the Officer said to just bring back the old INFOPASS (appointment sheet) on another day, and next time they will take me to a Higher Ranking USCIS Officer, who supposedly will expedite the appointment process.
